As a graduate of Brown University with a double major in Biology and Latin with Honors, I know from experience what it takes to make the grade, and do so with joy and purpose.
I thrive on helping my students rock Latin (and school) through building an unshakable foundation in Latin grammar and translation, adopting successful study strategies, inspiring curiosity and critical thinking, and having fun!
Through my decade + of Latin tutoring experience, I have seen that whatever the grade or challenge, your child's understanding, skills, and momentum can be transformed, and he or she will gain the confidence in her ability to excel through hard work and fun. By the end of your child’s first session with me, not only will she feel prepared and on the road to academic success, but she might also *gasp* begin to love Latin too!
In addition to tutoring Latin, I also specialize in English grammar and writing.
I work with students at all levels to build strong grammar foundations (parts of speech, phrases, clauses, the works), and I empower them to incorporate these rules into effective, persuasive, and creative compositions that they are proud of. Many of my students also meet with me for creative writing and enrichment outside of schoolwork.
My students have received acceptances to Harvard, Cornell, USC Marshall, University of Michigan, Penn, Vassar, Wesleyan, and more.
I majored in Latin, with Honors, and biology at Brown University and was awarded Best Senior Thesis in the Classics Department. I also won the Grand Prize in the University-wide Aeneid Translation Competition. Upon graduating, I taught all levels of Latin through AP at a prep school on the East Coast.

How We Work Together
Connect
We’ll have a brief free consult to discuss your child’s challenges and goals in any level of Latin
Payment
Semester packages that can be paid in full or monthly. We’ll discuss what schedule would be supportive for your child.
First Session
I’ll meet with your child for his or her first full tutoring session to assess and get right to work
Communication
You and your child will receive actionable notes after each session. I’m available between session for check-ins, ideas, and wins!
Weekly Sessions Thereafter
We’ll meet weekly throughout the school year, with the option to meet more often.
